Today, 11/11/2000 at about 12:00 noon (10:00 GMT), the belligerent Israeli Occupation Forces have prevented the passage of Mrs.
Mary Robinson, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the accompanying procession, at Almatahin junction near Khan Younis.
Mrs.
Mary Robinson, was travelling from Rafah to Gaza after having paid a visit to observe the damage resulting from the Israeli shelling of Palestinian civil property.
They were travelling along Salahaddeen road that connects Gaza with Rafah.
The road has been closed after a Palestinian civil car was fired at, killing the two Palestinians who were inside it.
The UNRWA Operations Officer contacted the Israeli army officers to convince them to allow the passage of Mrs.
Robinson, but they did not respond.
After two and a half hours, at 2:30 p.
m.
(12:30 GMT), Mrs.
Robinson, accompanied by the UNRWA vehicles, was allowed to continue her trip along the Jewish settlements’ road, a road used by Jewish settlers and the Israeli army only.
The rest of the procession had to use a roundroad.
The belligerent Israeli Occupation Forces have today opened fire at Palestinian civilians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
As a result, 2 Palestinians have been killed.
Yesterday 4 other Palestinian civilians were killed by the Israelis.

Raid Sady Almuhtasib; 22years, Hebron, Injured in the back by a 500 mm caliber bullet while in his father’s car.
This raises the number of Palestinians killed by the Israelis since 29/9/2000 to 180.
