On Sunday, 9 September 2018, the court of cassation in Gaza city supported a sentence of death by hanging against J.F., 28-year old resident of Burij refugee camp in Middle Area district. J.F., who had killed Mahmoud Al-Aloul, 23, was indicted on charges of kidnapping with intent to kill and of killing with intent. On 20 December 2015, the court of first instance in Deir Al Balah sentenced J.F. to death by hanging on the indicted charges.
