On Tuesday, 10 July 2018, the court of first instance in Deir Al Balah, held in the court complex in Khan Younis, sentenced M.M., a resident of Nusairat refugee camp, to death penalty. M.M. is charged of the killing of Nisreen Abu Hasaneen on 18 April 2017. The ruling dictated the hanging of M.M. to death based on charges of premeditated killing, looting, burglary, ownership of drugs intended for abuse, and carrying of a harmful gadget—all in violation of Article 36 of Penal Law.
