At 5pm on Monday, 30 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders of Khan Younis opened fire and launched tear-gas canisters at a group of demonstrators assembling in the area, to the east of Khuzaa town in Khan Younis. One demonstrator was injured by a live bullet that hit his right leg. Doctors at the European Gaza Hospital described his injury to be moderate. Israeli shooting continued sporadically for several hours on the same day.
