On Thursday morning, 6 October 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Atef Mohammed Saleem Al Dabbas, 53, resident of Al Qarara village eastern Khan Younis. He is a businessman who owns a supermarket in Khan Younis. According to his son, at approximately 8:00 am on Thursday, 6 October 2016, Atef went to Erez crossing after being summoned for interview by Israeli security in order to obtain permit to travel via Erez crossing. .
At approximately 5:00 pm on Friday, 7 October 2016, his son received a call from a person who identified himself as a lawyer and informed him that his father in arrested by IOF.
