At approximately 9:00 am on Monday, 19 September 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Mofeed Salama Mahmoud Al Hessi, 60, resident of Al Sheikh Redwan neighborhood in Gaza city, at Erez crossing. He was companioning , Mohammed Mofeed Mahmoud Al Hessi, 42, who is ill and was on his way to Al Maqassed Hospital in Jerusalem. Both the patient and his escort had the permission from the Israeli liaison to pass Erez crossing, but Israeli soldiers arrested the patient’s escort and took him to the interrogation office. He was released on Wednesday, 21 September 2016.
