At approximately 6:00 pm on Wednesday 12 March 2014, Mohammed Abdel Qader Nasrallah Abu Ammra, 47, died while he was detained at Khan Younis Police station.
It’s worth mentioning that a police force arrived at Abu Ammra’s house in Hekr Al Jam’e area south of Deir Al Balah at approximately 9:00 am on Saturday 1 March 2014 and arrested him in Deir Al Balah police station on the background of a financial liability.
He was then referred to Al Qarara police station and then to Nasser hospital in Khan Younis where he stayed for four days.
He was then referred to Deir Al Balah police station and then again to Khan Youis police station where he died.
It’s worth noting that Abu Ammra was suffering from many diseases (pain in the gallbladder, occlusion arteries, blood pressure, increasing water in the lungs, dyspnea, losing weight).
He was supposed to undergo a surgery at Shifa hospital but the police didn’t allow him.
According to forensic examination, Abu Ammra died due to deterioration in his health condition.
