Al Mezan Center for Human Rights views with grave concern the detention of activists who lead public peaceful movements in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to end the Palestinian internal split. Al Mezan positively views the police ease to the peaceful march which started at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza Strip. Al Mezan calls for an end to the arrest and detention of activists. Al Mezan fully supports efforts that aim to end the Palestinian internal split to achieve Palestinian national unity in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Achieving Palestinian unity will create a stronger front for confronting the Israeli occupation and its policies and acts which constitute war crimes and seek to prevent the creation of the State of Palestine.
