NGO Report to the UN Human Rights Committee  Submitted 23 June 2010 Three human rights organizations – Adalah - The Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel – are pleased to submit this report to the UN Human Rights Committee to assist it in its consideration of Israel’s Third Periodic Report of November 2008 during its review sessions on 12 and 13 July 2010.
The partners are working together on a joint, EU-funded project to combat and prevent torture and ill-treatment of Palestinian prisoners and civilians in the Occupied Palestinian Territory by the State of Israel.
This report supplements and updates a report submitted by the three organizations to the Human Rights Committee in August 2009, attached hereto as an annex.
