On Saturday, 19 July 2008, at approximately 5:00 am, the dead body of 22-year-old Abdel Salam Jamil Abu Taqiya arrived to Kamal Odwan Hospital after having been shot with four bullets in his abdomen, chest, shoulder and head. The victim was shot in his house, located in Ber An-Naaja neighborhood in western Jabalya. Forensic experts reported that he was shot from very close range. It is noteworthy that he was working in the maritime police apparatus.
