Rafah is located on the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.
With the highest poverty and unemployment rate, the town has little chance of development.
Additionally, the town continues to suffer the most deadly and damaging Israeli attacks, especially on the homes near the border.

Summary of issues raised by the public
The attendees described the various aspects of their suffering as a result of Israeli aggression against them.
This included the killings and injuries among the civilians and the destruction of property resulting from the daily attacks and shelling of residential areas in Rafah.
There are educational and psychological problems among children as pointed out by the teachers and mothers.
The effect of fear on education.
The problems of movement faced by students who suffer from the internal closure.
Those in al-Muwasi face difficulties in taking their secondary school examinations.
The losses to the agricultural sector and the difficulties of the farmers in reaching their land.

The key speakers agreed with the attendees that the situation was a very difficult one.
They sympathized with the Rafah population and expressed their willingness and readiness to do whatever possible in to relieve their suffering.
