In addition to poor housing conditions overall —based on internationally accepted standards— Israeli forces have demolished hundreds of Palestinian residences, especially in the refugee camps of Rafah and Khan Yunis.

Participants described their difficulties being homeless.
They said that the steps taken by the ministry of housing are not enough and demanded that more appropriate and immediate action.
Some of them said that the committees assigned to collect information about their loss are not active and slow.
They asked the Ministry of Housing, the PLC and NGOs to help compensate them and take their issue to Israeli courts.

The PLC member talked about the effective role he and his partner in the district played to receive government assistance.
He expressed readiness to meet and help them, but asked them to organize their efforts more systematically.
