Face-the-Public on "Water pollution in Sheikh Radwan Neighborhood.
"
This meeting took place in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood on 8th December 2005.
It focused on the problems generated by polluted water in the neighborhood.
The Center sent three samples of drinking water for examination by the Palestinian Environmental Quality Authority (EQA).
Ongoing overuse of the water-well which pumps water to the area caused pollution to the water, according to test results.
As a temporary solution, the Municipality will temporarily pump water from another water-well until the other well is rehabilitated and balanced by winter rainfall.
The well is also to be more frequently tested before and during its use.
