At around 14:15 on Sunday, 17 November 2019, Adel Mohammed Ali Hussein, 34, a businessperson, was arrested at Erez crossing in North Gaza. Al Mezan’s field investigations show that Hussein is the proprietor of Mega Power company. At around 8:00am on Sunday 17 November 2019, Adel went to Erez crossing to meet the representative of Israeli customs, per the latter’s request which had been communicated to Adel through the Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs. However, the Israeli forces arrested Adel and took him to an unknown location.
