At 9:30pm on Thursday, 11 October 2018, Israeli forces located near the fence in east of Malaka area in east Al-Zaitoun neighborhood in east Gaza City fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at Palestinians joining the night activities of the Great Return March demonstration. Five protesters, including two children, were injured. Three of them suffered wounds caused by live fire. Doctors at Al-Shifa Hospital stated their wounds were moderate.
