Israeli Forces Destroy Vital Civilian Infrastructure in Al-Mughraqa

At 10pm on Wednesday, 8 August 2018, Israeli warplanes bombarded the sanitation section at Municipality of Al-Mughraqa, comprised of different facilities that include a reservoir with a capacity of 250 cubic meters. The attack, launched with three missiles, one of them by a drone, resulted in complete destruction of the old building that houses the Municipality and that is used to operate sanitation and sewage services and maintenance. The facility was completely destroyed with all the furniture, the reservoir, the water-well, tubes connected to the reservoir, the distribution networks and vital appliances such as meters, filters, and pumps. The attack also destroyed a 110-KVA electricity generator, a 2,800-liter sized diesel container, a diesel pump, and three Municipality vehicles and their spares. Two houses nearby and the new Municipality’s building were partially damaged. One person was injured in the attack and taken to Al-Aqsa Hospital for treatment.
