At 9:45am on Monday, 9 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders of Johor Al Deek in southeastern Gaza district opened fire at the garbage dump near the borders. According to field monitoring, Israeli shooting continued sporadically for 15 minutes, forcing local workers to stop their work and escape in fear for their lives. No casualties were reported.
