At 9:00am on Friday, 6 April 2018, Israeli forces opened fire at protesters joining the “Great Return March” demonstration in Malaka area, in eastern Al Zaitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza city. Mohammed Madi,13, was killed, and 215 others injured. According to field monitoring and documentation, Maddi was shot by a live bullet in the abdomen at 1:30p.m on the same day. He was taken to Al Shifa hospital, where doctors announced his death at the time of his admission.
