At 7:30am on Tuesday, 27 March 2018, Zaki Badwan, a 48-year old resident of Burij refugee camp in the Middle Gaza district, died at Shuhada Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al Balah. According to Al Mezan’s documentation, Badwan was suffering from a nervous disease and scheduled to receive treatment at Nablus Special Hospital on 22 March 2018. He submitted a request to Israeli authorities in order to receive a permit in time for his appointment; however, his request was rejected. He submitted another request but died before receiving permission.
