At 8:00pm on Thursday, 15 March 2018, Israeli forces took to detention Naim Mohammed Katkat, 44, while he was crossing Erez. According to Al Mezan’s documentation, Katkat went to his interview with Israeli intelligence, as requested, to follow up on his application for crossing permission. Katkat needed to accompany his ill son on the latter’s medical travel to receive the necessary treatment for his blood disease. When Katkat arrived to his interview, he was interrogated and then taken to detention at an unknown destination. Katkat’s son is scheduled to receive his treatment at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem on 30 March 2018.
