Short Link:
At 3:30am on Tuesday, 3 October 2017, Mervat Ismael Al Ghoul, 33-year old resident of Burij refugee camp, was announced dead at Al Rantisi Hospital in Gaza city. Al Ghoul suffered from ovarian cancer, with which she had been diagnosed in late 2016 at Al Rantisi Hospital. On 19 December 2016, she received both a medical referral and an Israeli permit to go to Al Makkassed Hospital, where her tumors were removed. After a while, her health was back to deterioration, so she re-applied for an Israeli permit to receive the necessary medical treatment at the Augusta Victoria Hospital in Jerusalem. She received no decision on her application, and while waiting for it, she lost her life.
