Short Link:
On Sunday, 10 September 2017, Ibtesam Abu Nabhan, 53-year old resident of Al Nusairat refugee camp, lost her life while awaiting permission from Israeli authorities to cross through Erez to receive necessary treatment unavailable at any hospitals in Gaza. Ibtesam had been suffering from breast cancer, and she had begun treatment at hospitals in Jerusalem and in the West Bank. However, when she requested a new permit to continue her treatment, Israeli authorities kept her request “under security consideration” until she died in Shuhada Al Aqsa Hospital in Dair Al Balah on Sunday.
