At approximately 11:30 am on Friday, 3rd June 2016 , Israeli Occupation Forces(IOF) arrested Fayez Mosbah Mohammed Al Attar, 65, resident of Al Atatra neighborhood in Beit Lahiya, while he was on his way to pray the Friday midday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. In his affidavit to Al Mezan, his son Khattab Al Attar stated that his father has a businessman permission and he travelled for this purpose on Thursday 2nd June 2016; through Erez crossing and also to pray at Al Aqsa Mosque. Before his arrival to Al Aqsa mosque, the father was stopped at an Israeli checkpoint. The father was able to call his son and told him about his arrest. He managed to call his some before his mobile got confiscated by the Israeli forces. Al Mezan’s lawyers are following up the case. They had information that his father was interrogated at Ashkelon prison.
