At approximately 3:45 pm on Monday 22 October 2012, locally launched rocket fell near sewage pump in the As-Seka street in Beit Hanoun, in North Gaza district.
As a result, Khalil ‘Awad Allah Al Kafarna, 20, was injured.
Medical sources at Beit Hanoun Hospital described his injury as critical as he susutained shrapnel in different parts of his body and his limbs were amputated.
He was referred to Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
At approximately 8:30 pm on the same day, medical sources at Shifa Hospital announced his death.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, Al Kafarna was on his way to his brother’s home when he was injured.
Two houses were partially damaged in the incident.
