Short Link:
At approximately 6:00 am on Monday 16 July 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) allowed 40 persons to travel via Erez crossing to visit 25 detainees held in Israeli prisons.
According to Al Mezan’s documentation, this is the first such visit since July 2007.
The visit is one step being taken as part of an accord reached two months ago under Egyptian sponsorship, under which it was agreed that Palestinian detainees would end their hunger strike in exchange for the IOF’s implementation of their just demands.
