On Wednesday 15 September 2010, the Ministry of Interior in Gaza banned a video-conference meeting between journalists in Gaza and the chairman of the International Federation of Journalist (IFJ), Mr.
John Bo Maliha, and his deputy in the West Bank.
The meeting was scheduled to be held at Al Azhar University.
Journalists in Gaza were not able to participate in the Palestinian in the Journalists Syndicate elections which was conducted in the West Bank only.
This election has deepened the internal split; including in the media body in Palestine.
