Gaza's Ministry of Local Government Ends the Term of the As-Salqa Valley Municipal Council

10:30am on Tuesday 8 June 2010, the Gaza's Ministry of Local Government ended the term of the As-Salqa Valley Municipal Council.
Representatives from the Ministry and members of the police force  informed the mayor, Abdel Mahdi Hussein Abu Maghasib, 47, that the Ministry had decided to form an administrative committee for the municipal council.
On 5 May 2005, the current municipal council was elected and headed by Abdel Mahdi Hussein Abu Maghasib.
The municipal council term was extended for one year by the  Ministry.
In the beginning of June 2010, the new term was ended.
