At app. 9.00am, on 26 May 2009, members of the internal security apparatus detained Mahmoud Qannan, a Fateh leader and Secretary of Fateh Youth Organization. According to the information available to Al-Mezan, the Internal Security Apparatus in Khan Younis summoned Qannan over the phone at app 9am on 25 may 2009, but released him at 8pm on the same day. The motivations behind the detention of Qannan remained unknown.
