In the early morning of 7 May 2009, the IOF, stationed on the eastern borderline, opened fire intensively towards the eastern areas of Jabalia and Beit Hanoun town as well as the northern areas of Latter. This shooting was reinforced by sporadic shelling from IOF gunships. The shelling lasted until 8am on the same day, but no injuries or damages were reported.
