On 13 March 2007, at app. 7.30pm, armed clashes broke out between the Nofel family and Qassam Brigades close to the Shaafut Restaurant in Al Zaitoun neighborhood in Gaza city, killing Alaa Al Haddad, 45, a member of Al Qassam Brigades, and injuring ten persons. Among the wounded is Mohamad Abu Daf, 30, who is in critical condition. The clashes had initiated before the Mecca agreement.
