On 16 March 2007, at app. 1am, gunmen opened fire on Husein Sarhi, 32 and Musa Rejelat, 32, while driving down in Deir Balah town. Gunmen forced them out of their car and shot Al Sarhi in the head and Al Rejelat in his shoulder, foot and hand and fled. Medics reported the death of Al Sarhi and the serious injury of Rejelat.
