At approximately 2.
am on the 23rd of August 2007, walking Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) penetrated the area of Um Al Wad in the east of Khuza'a neighborhood, in Khan Younis town.
The IOF broke into houses and occupied the roofs after confining the residents.
Further, an Israeli scouting jet fired a missile at a group of people, injuring three Palestinians.
At the same time, IOF vehicles penetrated 2.
800 meters into the same area, under helicopter cover, and opened fire intensively towards houses and agricultural lands.
Three Palestinians were injured as a result.
The IOF also razed agricultural lands and turned civilians' houses into military surveillance posts_en.
The IOF withdrew from the area at approximately 3.
30am after detaining six Palestinians.
