At approximately 3am on the 6th of September 2007, the IOF penetrated about 800 meters into Al Qarara village, in eastern of Khan Younis, under helicopter cover. Clashes broke out between the IOF and resistance fighters, which resulted in the injury of four Palestinians who were reported to have sustained moderate injuries. The IOF also broke into several houses in the neighborhood of As Sumiri in the village. At approximately 12am, an IOF scouting jet fired one missile at a group of youths in Al Qarara, killing three of them and injuring some others. Those injured were reported seriously injured. According to Al Mezan's field reports, The IOF are razing lands and breaking into houses in the area as this news is issued.
