At app.5pm on 12 November 2007, seven people were injured during the funeral of Yahia Khaled Abu Samra, 19, who was killed in the latest events that followed the commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of the passing of President Arafat. The police opened random fire at the funeral as the participants shouted revilements against the police when passing by the police station of Deir Al Balah town.
