At app. 5:30pm, on 5/12/2007, members of the internal security apparatus broke into the house of Mohammed Abu Ar Rus, 37, in Rafah, to arrest him. The security members shot Abu Ar Rus in his leg as the later and his son Shady exchanged fire with them. Shady was also arrested in the incident. Abu Al Rus was detained by the Palestinian police for killing his cousin, before Hamas's takeover of the Gaza strip on 14/6/2007, but he escaped from jail during Hama's attack on the PNA installations.
