At approximately 7pm, on 27 February 2008, the IOF, stationed on the observation tower near Kerem Shalom crossing opened fire indiscriminately towards the vicinity of Gaza International Airport in Al Shouka village in Rafah.
As a result, 20-year-old Mohammed Hamdan Al Fara was injured by shrapnel to his left thigh.
It is noteworthy that Al Fara was walking in a street near to his home in the airport area.
He was transferred to the Abu Yousef An Najjar Hospital for treatment.
