The IOF have intensified artillery shelling on various populated areas of the Gaza Strip, killing two Palestinians and injuring six, among them a woman.
In addition, five Palestinians were killed in Gaza City, bringing the total number of dead to 7 and wounded to 8.
According to Al Mezan investigations, at approximately 8.
50am on May 7th Israeli artillery on the eastern borderline of the Gaza Strip fired 10 missiles at an area near Al Banat St.
southeast of Beit Hanoun town, injuring Fatma Sahweel, 59, wounded in her right eye; however, no other casualties were reported.
On the same day at approximately 9.
50am, 15 missiles were fired at areas adjacent to Ashaima School in northern Beit Lahia, killing Hussein Al Shaafi, 55 after sustained body injuries.
On May 5th at approximately 10.
20am, Israeli artillery fired around 20 missiles near a populated area in north Beit Lahia, injuring Majdi Ghaben, 25, wounded in the back.
Two hours later, the IOF fired 12 missiles near Balsam Military Hospital located in east Em Nasr Bedouin village, injuring Maysara Ahmad Badr, 31, Hani Shaaban, 20, and Tareq Al Saadi, 25.
Further, at approximately 6.
10pm, Israeli artillery fired 23 missiles near a populated area in Al Banat St.
southeast Beit Hanoun, injuring Ahmad Sababa, 19, wounded in the; no other casualties were reported.
At approximately 7.
25pm on May 6th, Musa Al Sawarka, 63, was killed when the IOF shelled the area close to his house in northwest Beit Lahia whilst he was herding his camels.
On May 5th at approximately 6.
30pm, Israeli planes fired a missile at a group of young Palestinians in a courtyard of Al Aqsa University in Al Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City.
The victims are:
Jomaa Doghmosh, 35, Hamada Doghmosh, 24, Mahmoud Doghmosh, 22, Waheed Doghmosh, 20 and Khaled Waked, 19.
The shelling also resulted in the injuring of Ibrahim Doghmosh, 16, and Mohammad Abu Sidou, 20; they are all residents of Al Sabrah neighborhood.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns the ongoing Israeli offensive and confirms that random and extrajudicial killings and the shelling of populated areas are war crimes in violation of international law, most notably the Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilians in Time of War.
Thus, Al Mezan calls upon international community to undertake its legal and ethical duties and immediately intervene to put an end to ongoing IOF war crimes.
