Palestinian Dies of Wounds Sustained in Israeli Shooting at Demonstrators in Eastern Rafah

At 11:50pm on Sunday, 22 April 2018, doctors at the European Gaza Hospital announced the death of Abdallah Al Shamali, 20, who had been injured in the chest by live fire. Abdallah sustained his injury when, on Friday, 20 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders of Al Shoka town in eastern Rafah used live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets and tear-gas grenades in policing protesters joining the “Great Return March” demonstration.
