IOF Opens Fire at a Peaceful Protest near Erez Crossing

8 April 2016

At approximately 2:30 PM on Friday, 8 April 2016, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire and lunched teargas canisters at tens of young men and children who were participating in a protest against the Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the West Bank. The protest took place near Erez crossing, north of Beit Hanoun in North Gaza. Clashes between the IOF and the protestors lasted until 8:00 PM. As a result, many protesters suffered effects of tear gas inhalation. Medical staff of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society treated the wounded in the field.
