Security Personnel Prevent Government Officials of the General Authority of Civil Affairs from Passing to Erez Crossing

At approximately 9:00 AM on Thursday, 10 March 2016, security forces stationed at the customs checkpoint (4/4), which leads to Erez crossing, prevented two General Authority of Civil Affairs officials Eyad Ali Hassan Nassr and Majed Fayeq Al-Helo, from passing through to the Erez crossing. The aforementioned officials are members of the Civil Coordination and Liaison Committee. Eyad Nassr informed Al Mezan that 10 members of the committee were going to attend a coordination meeting with the Israeli military authority when members of the Internal Security stopped their car at the customs crossroad and told him and his colleague, Majid Al-Helo, that they are not allowed to pass; no reasons were provided.
