At approximately 1:4 0pm on Friday, 29 January 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire and launched tear gas canister at tens of young men and children who were participating in a popular event to protest against Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the broader West Bank. The clashes between the Israeli occupation forces and the young men took place at east of the Islamic cemetery east of Jabaliya in North Gaza district. Clashes between the Israeli soldiers and Palestinian protestors continued until 5:00 pm on the same day. As a result, six people were injured, including a child. Three of the victims sustained live bullet wounds. Al Mezan identified their names as follows:
All sustained rubber-coated bullet wounds in different parts of their bodies. Medical sources at Al Shifa Hospital described their injury as minor.
