17-year-old Mos’aab Ahmed Mousa Esleih from Khan Younis was a calm and compassionate person. He performed each of his prayers every day and was memorizing the Quran. He hoped to study Islamic law at university but had taken an air-conditioning course to make sure that he had options for the future. He liked playing football.

On 29 July 2014, when Mos’aab was on the way to visit his uncle and his grandfather, he was targeted by an Israeli drone. His uncle ran towards him to rescue him but another Israeli missile struck. Their neighbor Ali Marouf saw them and ran to help but a third Israeli missile targeted them. As a result, three of them were killed. “I hope he’s in heaven now,” says his mother.
