Israeli Jet Plane Attacks Open Area in vicinity of Erez Crossing, One person Injured

At approximately 2:20 am on Wednesday 14 August 2013, an Israeli jet plane fired a missile at an open area about 500 meters away from the northern separation fence between Gaza Strip and Israel, southeast of Erez crossing.
As a result, Mohammed Atta Shabat, 25, was injured in the left hand due to smash of windowpanes.
His father’s house was damaged.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the attack coincide with the release of 15 Palestinian detainees who were held in Israeli prisons.
Families of the detainees were gathering 400 meter away from Erez crossing when the attack took place.
