IOF Arrests Three Bird Hunters Near Rafah

At approximately 12:30 am on Tuesday 22 February 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) detained three young men from Ash-Shoka village east of Rafah.
  Al Mezan has identified them as follows: ·         Saddam Mohammed Abu ‘Azra, 20; ·         Mohammed Hussein Abu ‘Azra, 21; and ·         Ashraf Hasan As-Soufi, 22.
In their affidavits to Al Mezan, relatives of the detainees stated that, from the evening hours of Tuesday 22 February 2012, when their sons went out hunting, the families had lost contact with them.
 An Al Mezan lawyer followed up with Israeli authorities and was informed him that the three young men had been detained at Ashkelon prison.
 According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the IOF arrested the three men inside the security buffer zone east of Rafah.
