Al Mezan condemns the ongoing IOF offensive on Al Maghazi Refugee Camp;11 Palestinians killed, 105 injured, including 26 children

In a press release issued on July 20th 2006, Al Mezan condemns the disproportionate and lethal use of force frequently used by the IOF against Palestinian civilians has contributed to a rising number of civilians victims in Al Maghazi Camp in middle district of the Gaza Strip, in the latest prolonged IOF offensive.
To count, 11 Palestinians have been killed and 105 wounded, including 26 children; electricity networks are down since being destroyed during the incursion.
The release mentioned that Israeli navy vessels fired 20 missiles towards the beach road.
A Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) ambulance was hit and the drivers injured whilst trying to treat the wounded.
Al Mezan severely warns about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the OPT, and strongly condemns the silence of the international community in light of the drastic impact of IOF violations on the humanitarian situation in the OPT.
Al Mezan renews its demands to the international community, notably the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to fulfill their legal and moral obligations under the Convention, put an end to Israeli violations in the OPT, and provide protection to Palestinian civilians in the OPT.
