Five Killed in Tunnel Collapse

An explosion took place at around 16:00 on Tuesday, 23 September 2008, inside a tunnel in al-Salam neighborhood in southern Rafah.
Five persons, who were inside the tunnel, are reported missing.
Search and rescue continued until 22:00 on the same day.
Rescuers managed to extract five bodies.
The deceased are Mustapha Saleh al-Najjar, 19, Omar Fayyez Barghout, 21, Riyad Muhammad al-Aqqad, 33, Khalid Ahmad al-Najjar, 22, and Ahmad Abdullatif al-Najjar, 24.
