With utmost sorrow and shock, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights received the news of the tragic demise of Suha Ghassan Jarrar, a fellow human rights defender and advocacy professional at Al-Haq Organization.

It deepens our grief that Suha’s mother, Mrs. Khalida Jarrar, the senior Palestinian politician and member of the Legislative Council, is currently in Israeli custody as the family goes through such challenging times. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to Mrs. and Mr. Jarrar as well as their whole family and our dear colleagues at Al-Haq. May the soul of our loved one rest in eternal peace.
