At 10:30pm on Saturday, 13 October 2018, Palestinian police found Nazmi Mohammed Abu Matar, 73, dead inside his house in Al-Sahel building near the residential complex of Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood in west Gaza City. The dead body was taken to Al-Shifa Hospital for forensic diagnosis. Abu Matar was diagnosed to be killed with a sharp object. The police launched an investigation into the killing.
