At 8:30pm on Sunday, 7 October 2018, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off the coast of western Gaza City. 11 fishermen were on a boat owned by Ahmed Al-Amoodi and his brothers and were at a distance of five nautical miles when Israeli warships directly intercepted it and pumped wastewater onto the fishermen. The lights and electric network of the boat were damaged. No casualties or detentions were reported.
