At 8pm on Saturday, 22 September 2018, Israeli forces located in monitoring sites opened fire and launched tear gas canisters at hundreds of Palestinians who joined the Great Return March demonstration in east of Abu Safia area in east Jabalia refugee camp in North Gaza district. 15 protesters, including one child, were injured—of them 12 by live fire. Three also suffered from major breathing difficulties due to Israeli forces’ heavy use of tear gas.
